Sure, the regular season of Monday Madness begins just after Christmas. Okay, just after Valentine's Day. But it's never too soon to anticipate the thrills and drama of the Lent Madness season that is to come. After all, there are only 114 days days left until Ash Thursday!
Fortunately, Tim and Scott have taken some time out of their busy pre-Lenten schedules, for a special broadcast of Monthly Madness. In this edition, they highlight a few key battles of the newly-unveiled Lent Madness 2020 bracket, rack their brains to recall the Lent Madness url, and generally engage in penitential tomfoolery. And as you'll see, the opening battle of the upcoming 11th year of the Saintly Smackdown promises to be, more or less, one of the epic battles of all time.
Of course, the humble members of the Supreme Executive Committee also remind you that you can and should buy Saintly Scorecards. The 2020 edition is now available! They're only $3 in single copies, or the ridiculously low bargain price of $1 if you buy three or more bundles of ten. Also, it's time to update your home decor, and why not cover your living room with bracket posters? Get your bracket posters for just $11 (or $10 for two or more) today!
While you wait for the next episode, perhaps you'll want to binge-watch the entire corpus of cinema-quality Monday Madness videos.
As usual, we've tucked a photo down here to help out with social media sharing.

Happy Lent, Tim and Scott! The anticipation grows.
Go away! Too much going on. You're as bad as Hallmark cards who have been running Christmas ads since the last weeks of October. The Christian calendar encourages us to live in the present - Christ the King, Advent. This is counter cultural to today's society which is cranking up for Halloween in September. Christian values are counter cultural and you guys should stop selling out to the other side.
Never forget one of the great commandments of Lent Madness: It's...wait for it...OPTIONAL. No need to hang out with us!
NOOOO! SEC, how could you?
I have been playimg Lent Madness with my children, Andrew and Elizabeth, for 5 or 6 years. We have loved it and learned a lot, but now we are faced with a Sophie's choice in round 1 of the Biblical section.
I tried to order my Saintly Scorecards today and received a message that they are backordered! Say what?! Already?? Incredible! I need my Saintly Scorecards for sanity's sake...
Carol, no worries! We have plenty - they are just a little behind on shipping. Sorry for the confusing message. We have fixed it to say "pre-order".

Oh, thank you so much! I thought I was ordering early... and wondered if I had overslept a few weeks. "Pre-order" is a good fix. I'm looking for my pre-ordered Saintly Scorecards in the near future.
Yay! I'm SO looking forward to Lent Madness this year!
I just can’t wait!
The 2020 Bracket sounds like it will have excellent match-ups! So glad the two of you take time out of your hectic schedules to open the door to some righteous levity.
You make me laugh out loud. And God knows I need that throughout every season of the liturgical year. I echo Linda Barnard -- thank you for taking the time to share your wit and creativity! Love it.
Patron Saint of Lent Madness? I nominate Dymphna, of course.
I am thrilled to death (still breathing tho':) that the Lent Madness 2020 bracket has been released! This is one of the few reasons that I can't wait for the season of Lent to arrive. I have a thought for future brackets: could there be a section for saints that are living and breathing? I heard some gasps at this suggestion and let me explain my rationale. I noticed that with the 2020 bracket that have been some saintly repeats. There's just so many saints (known and very obscure) that go around so how about a living saint category?
Unfortunately, one of the main criteria for sainthood is, in fact, being dead.
Enjoyed your Monthly Madness today in Tennessee and so did my Aunt Jan in California. I watched on my computer and my aunt listened via phone, this is the way we do each Monday Madness post. For the brackets, during Lent I read the posts to her over the phone. This makes for a unique way of sharing the learning and the humor and music. My aunt's sight is impared, but not her mind and we talk over the saints and then I cast "our" vote. I'll be sending in an order soon for a couple of copies of the book and a poster, so she can share her enthusiasm with her church.
I’m ready
I'm eager to see the match-up calendar for 2020 on the bracket tab. I saw in the video that it already exists.
