Get ready, world. The Pope's visit is about to be overshadowed by the biggest religion story of early autumn. Yes, friends, it's time to reveal the lineup of 2016 Celebrity Bloggers. Scott and Tim have the goods in the latest episode of Monthly Madness!
We bid farewell to several retiring Celebrity Bloggers, whose jerseys are now hoisted to the rafters in the LentDome. We also welcome five new Celebrity Bloggers: Anna Fitch Courie, David Hansen, Beth Lewis, Hugo Olaiz, and Derek Olsen. Please note we now have two doctors and a nurse in the house in case of medical and/or spiritual emergency.
As usual, the Supreme Executive Committee urges you to show that you love Lent Madness (and Jesus) the most by spending your hard-earned money in the Lentorium. In addition to the standard mug spiel, they are hawking Meet the Saints, a family storybook published by Forward Movement about the saints of the church. Check it out -- it's part of a free, downloadable curriculum for congregations in which children, youth, and adults can learn more about saints and how Jesus' light shone brightly in women and men through history. Get yours now, for free, using these links for children or youth/adults.
Most important, mark your calendars for All Brackets' Day, November 3, and get ready to stare at your browser at 8:00 am Eastern time as the Lent Madness 2016 bracket is unveiled. It's not too early to queue up for a good seat by the computer.

It's embarrassing to admit just how much I wish Lent would hurry up and arrive. I'm counting off the days with a little purple marker.
Well, Dawn may be embarrassed about wishful thinking, but not moi! I'm not counting off days because they're going by too fast as it is...BUT..I am anxiously awaiting the first day I awaken and "ping" that will announce LENT MADNESS is on the screen! HUZZAH! Thanks Padres of the SEC!!!
So glad to see you back on this site . . . we missed you last year!
I have dropped St. Brigid's glass innumerable times and it has remained unbroken. It is truly blessed. By the way I am heartbroken that I discovered St. Drogheda (I think that's the right name), the patron saint of coffee drinkers too late to include in the Holy Brackets. I feel sure he would have won, and if not, deserved a coffee mug all his own.
Wow, Nov. 3 - St. Winifred's Day . . . I HOPE she's on the list!!
How exciting, I just watched Pope Francis arrive in Washington DC to be greeted by President Obama at the airport. I wonder if the Pope would like to participate in lentmadness? Perhaps Tim and Scott could invite him.
How appropriate! I'm wearing my purple shirt (Episcopal Diocese of New Jersey from GC!) and my purple watch. I'm READY. Bring 'em on!
Well, just shared it on Facebook. I cannot wait. I hope Oliver will be participating - one year he will be a Celebrity Blogger... Nah! He already is. BRING ON LENT!
I'm hoping "Meet The Saints" is in Spanish, as well as English. Our parish neighborhood is predominantly Spanish speaking and we have a wonderful program for the little ones while their parents are shopping at our Food Bank distribution center.
I would buy several in both languages.
Love working with Meet the Saints. Using it with my Sunday School Class & enjoy meeting all the Saints. I do put in others, especially if its a Saints Day. Thank You. Now to see what Lent brings.
I'm wearing purple already--not only in anticipation but because purple is THE color for Kansas State University, home of my heart, where I attended, taught and was also a faculty wife. And the home of a great deal of my money as all my kids went there. So, for all its meanings, GO, PURPLE.
