Despite the genesis of Lent Madness, it is not a sporting event.

I believe the color for Palm/Passion Sunday is "scarlet," not "red." Of course, I'm a Lutheran, so we're far more attuned to "shading."

Lent Madness IS a sporting event. A profoundly silly, often educational, and to quote The Supremes **OPTIONAL** contest for a completely mythical and ridiculous honour.
Lent is rather more serious. I'm with you there.
