Stop whatever you are doing and grab some popcorn. You won't want to miss this week's episode of Monday Madness with BREAKING NEWS from the Supreme Executive Committee. Tim and Scott briefly talk about the somewhat rocky opening of Lent Madness XVI, during which some people have had problems voting. (These security measures have been necessary due to cheaters!) But the SEC is trying new settings now, so we'll hope today's vote goes well.
But we've buried the lede. The big news is that the SEC is diving behind the purple curtain to make way for two new public faces of Lent Madness. We won't spoil it here. You have to watch the video to see which two talented priests emerged triumphant after a global search in Lent's Got Talent.
Seriously, when Tim created Lent Madness 16 years ago, he had no idea it would have such a great run, and change the face of Lent in the Episcopal Church and beyond. And he's convinced there's room to grow and inspire even more faithful Christians to learn, have fun, and deepen their faith. But that means new people with new ideas and new energy. Tim and Scott will continue to serve as the Supreme Executive Committee, working behind the scenes to ensure an excellent saintly competition. You'll see new faces bringing big new ideas for Lent Madness, all while keeping the beloved traditions and the vibe we've all come to know and love. Enjoy!

OMG, I absolutely love this time of year! I learn so much about the influential people who made a difference in the world for the sake of the church and its people.
Four white guys. Hmmm
Can't wait to see just how much more holy foolishness you can muster up. Been tuning in to March Madness since its beginning. Welcome and continue to make learning about saints fun.
Would like to see Rev Christian’s dancing skills! And a LEMA trophy would be brilliant. Excited for your expansion!
Oh, this definitely quadruples the Madness! Just want you to know that I DO have photos of Fr. Michael Sahdev way back when he was the "Head Kid" in the youth group in the Diocese of SE Florida. We all knew then that he would doubtless be called to great work--but we had no idea it would be THIS great! Yay, Michael!
You made a “global search,” and there were no qualified women?
Yeah.
Welcome!!
A global search ends with four white men?
I HAVE been unable to vote...after click on not robot does not let me in.
1 Corinthians 3:18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.
This year's Lent Madness is off to an awesome start. I have loved the pairings so far!
Thank you both for making Lent fun for the past many years. And for letting us learn about so many lesser known Saints. I’m sure Christian and Michael will do a good job (after all, they were trained by the best) but they have big shoes to fill.
Looking forward to see who wins the
GOLDEN HALO
Yes!
I’m 6’4” and now I have dibs on 3 of you (guess who) to be on my church league b ball team I’m forming here in Sequim WA.
** Responsible for your own travel expenses, if you’re OK with that. One game per week, St Luke’s rules, pending acquisition of one more 6’10” or taller player.
You in?
Welcome to the new guys! Truly!
I fear you are about to be scrutinized like it's Westminster Dog Show but I am just one of the pack so I don't care so much about that.
I DO want to know where the Alpha is though. Who's in charge? Are the Supremes still the Supremes? Power! Authority! Where does it lie...?
Instead of naming the award The Lenty, how about naming the special award The Mea Culpae, aka The Cup. All programs similar to Lent Madness can enter into the competition, but it's a forgone conclusion that LM will winning for at least the first five years until others can catch up.
this has the feeling of Elon in the White House taking over. Please say it ain't so!
