Tim and Scott are back with an all new, highly informative, and action-packed episode of Monday Madness. This week, they talk about how cheating at Lent Madness can ruin the fun for everyone. They also address the difficulty some had voting early on in today's matchup between Melania the Elder and Hilary of Poitiers (all is once again right with the world). Remember, everyone gets a vote, but one vote only! Not the 600 illegal votes one person tried to cast for Wenceslaus on Opening Day...
Today marks the official launch of Scott's latest book, Easter Triumph, Easter Joy: Meditations for the Fifty Days of Eastertide. If the glum news of the world gets you down, this book might be just the thing to remember our ultimate hope in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The book is available from Forward Movement, Amazon, and other places. There's an ebook, too.
Of course, it wouldn't be fair to highlight just one member of the SEC's books! Tim reminds us that his latest book will be a sure page-turner as it caffeinates and inspires you. Get yourself of a copy of Holy Grounds: The Surprising Connection between Coffee and Faith - From Dancing Goats to Satan's Drink (ebook here).
Last, but not least, there's a shout-out for some Lent Madness enthusiasts among the Lutheran faithful of the Twin Cities at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church. Check out Pastor Tim's video. If your church -- whatever your denomination! -- loves Lent Madness, please send us photos or videos and we'd love to give you a shout-out, too.
This is here for social media and as a reminder of the season that eventually comes after Lent.

My vote would not go thru
600 votes seems fair. Santa has given a lot of presents over the years. Just remember carrots for the reindeer.
Hilary of Poitiers
Why?
You two bring joy to my heart! Keep it up.
I got confused and may have voted twice for Hilary of Poitiers - I'd change it but I don't know how.....
Vote would not go through.
Thank you for brightening my day! The Thursday Book Study at St Margaret’s Episcopal in Annapolis enjoys this a lot! I’m sorry for those who don’t play nicely!
my vote for Hilary of Pointier did not go through this morning and now I can't see who won nor other peoples comments.
I was positively shocked to read that there were some who actually wanted to cheat?????? This is a fun way to learn about different Saint's (I have a book with over 400 Saints in it an only a couple on Lent Madness are in there...) I do hope you won't let the "Cheaters" ruin this for everyone...
I'm enjoying the Monday Madness as well as the whole Lent Madness. Thanks.
I do miss the e-mail reminder with the link, but have remembered to set a bookmark to this page.
I still can't get my vote to register for Monday's matchup. The circle just keeps spinning.
This was the best Monday Madness post I've viewed in about 4 years of following Lent Madness!
Thank you for sharing Pastor Tim's video! I thoroughly enjoyed hearing his thoughts about my favorite Lenten activity!
Dear Supremes,
My husband and I are playing Lent Madness, each on a different computer. But in the near future, we will be traveling and will be sharing a small laptop. What if we both want to vote using the same computer? We don't want to be cast into the outer darkness.
Sincerely, Verdery Kassebaum
May I suggest one of you use your phone
The banner that just drops down from the top unbidden is still an issue. It does it on my MacBook and on my iPhone. Can someone please anchor that banner to the top of the page and keep it there? It takes up way to much real estate on the screen (approximately 25%), especially on my iPhone (and I got a 13 Pro Max).
Please get that banner under control!
I can see it! Cincinnati will not just be known for Fiona of (oops…the) Hippo but a gorgeous Lent Madness dome!
I wish you had a simple printable bracket. When the bracket comes up on my computer I see no way to print it.
Please fix the voting… … …it is NOTallowing votes(for Crispin) to go through. I don’t know if it’s because I’m on an iPad, or if it is all devices, but please fix the problem.
I own a bakery and I want to send you toiling Lentorium serfs some goodies. I'm assuming I can use the address for the Cathedral for Tim-- but what about Scott and all the Forward Movement folks? Thanks for putting this out and putting up with us people, well, peopling.
I have not received today’s (Tuesday, March 8, 2022) selection article.
Please send!
Such a terrific idea! The church’s history is fascinating!
