It's time for the last pre-season episode of Lent Madness 2021. Tim and Scott are back with yet another Oscar-worthy episode of Monday Madness, even if the Academy has spurned them at every turn. So dim the lights, grab some popcorn, roll out the purple carpet, and prepare to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
There's still time to study up and fill out your bracket for Lent Madness 2021. You can visit the bracket tab of the website, and if you need your Saintly Scorecard, it's still available for your Kindle. New this year, Lent Madness fan Seth Reese created a wonderful site where you can enter your bracket picks and track your progress along with Lent Madness fans around the world. Visit playlentmadness.com to enter your bracket picks! Seth is an Episcopalian and tech wizard, and if you're looking for more wizardly, check out his consulting firm, Juniper Workshop.
Get ready for the opening contest of Lent Madness which comes your way at 8:00 in the morning (Eastern time!) on Ash Thursday, February 18. It's Camillus de Lellis vs. Matthias, in the Gamblers' Gambit!

I’m confused: do we start on Wednesday or Thursday? Our morning prayer group was planning to look at and vote first on Thursday.
Thursday. Ash Wednesday is always a serious and lovely comment.
Nailed it!
Here are some of my matchup names for the round of 32:
For the battle of the Catherines: Deli Duel
Albert vs. Leo: GOAT Grapple
Isadora vs. Simeon: Gentle Jingle
Miguel Pro vs. Constantine: Power Punch
Catherine Booth vs. Joan of Arc: Salvation Struggle
I'll look at the left side of the bracket soon ...
Love these ideas - hope they use 'em
Can’t wait to play and learn more about Saints
My browser said the playlentmadness.com was unsafe. I'm a risk taker, but not with websites.
Hmm. I just now clicked on the link in the Monday Madness blurb and had no problem.
Just in case, I also typed in the link in the bar at the top (I don't know what it's called--Low-Tech-Woman) and had no trouble.
Maybe your browser's different from mine? Maybe it got fixed overnight??
Enjoying Mardi Gras, Observing Ash Wednesday, but really looking forward to Tim and Scott's enlightening uplifting Lent Madness
Arnulf of Metz vs. Vincent of Saragossa: Brewmaster Bout
I am not sure how and where we get the biographical information for each match-up.
Is it e-mailed every day.
It is on the website, each day the biographical information for two saints is presented and you vote for your choice.
The Saintly Scorecard also has bios of each saint. I think they're sold out however if you need a copy I have 5 left, we ordered in bulk.
where do I get the bios on the saints b/4 picking?
The saintly matchup and bios will be listed each weekday during Lent on the website - I think on the bracket tab. Last year had a saturday vote too if I remember correctly.
thqnks much - I thought I'd missed them for the 1st round picks
Verizon and Chrome have alerted me that playlentmadness.com is a malicious site ??
Do we fill out the entire bracket right away, or fill it in as winners are announced?
I have the same question. Hopefully a response is forthcoming soon.
We get an email each weekday in Lent with the two saints. Read the bios and vote on your choice.
So happy to catch this in time for Shrove Tuesday and now I know what is for supper: pancakes!
This is my 3rd year playing this, I love it! Thank you so much! Trying to recruit some fellow parishioners to play as well 🙂
I would love a hard copy of the Sky Scorecard if you have any left! Please advise...
Email me your mailing address and I'll send one to you. sherre404@gmail.com
I love this. My 3rd year. I am late getting started this time.
1st year I got a hardcopy booklet and poster at my church's Mardi Gras party.. Couldn't find these online now. Can you send something hardcopy? I am glad to pay/donate!
What is your mailing address and I'll put one in the mail?
Idea for next year's Lent Madness merchandise:
Purple kitchen towels, preferably with "Lent Madness" on them. They would go well with the Lent Madness purple mug, and even better with a Golden Halo winner mug. I would probably buy two of them. Maybe more as gifts.
