Here at Lent Madness we're not unduly bound by tradition. Or at least not as much as certain stuffier circles of the church. Oh, who are we kidding? We hate change. Nonetheless, we are introducing something radical as this week's episode of Monday Madness brings all-new theme music and opening title design! Watch and behold.
Today is also the last day you can place Lentorium orders and know that you'll get your items in the USA with standard shipping by the start of Lent Madness (February 15). So the SEC urges you to stock up on Saintly Scorecards (single, bulk, or Kindle) and Giant Bracket Posters. In fact, why not head over to the Lentorium for all your Lenten needs? If you're unsure about shipping times or if you want to remember what it's like to talk with friendly customer service folks, give Forward Movement a call at 800-543-1813 during business hours to order.
Have you followed Lent Madness on Twitter? Have you liked Lent Madness on Facebook? Remember, if we don’t get to 20,000 likes on Facebook, a Lent Shutdown is almost certain. Tell everyone you know to like Lent Madness on Facebook. We are getting very close to the goal, but that doesn't mean you should avoid renting a blimp in your city to tell everyone about the page!
Lastly, if you’re looking for something for Lent besides Lent Madness, check out this year’s Lenten book from Forward Movement (Are We There Yet?), or buy Tim’s Lent/Easter book, or shop around for Lenten resources at Forward Movement. Or just send Scott or Tim a $20 bill and they’ll email some stuff they printed out about Lent. Hey, it might be good. You just never know.
This is here for social media sharing, as usual.

Great! Refreshing (if not annoying) way “to church” thank you.
Happy Lent?
Yes! Happy Lent! THAT is what's refreshing about the whole enterprise of Lent Madness. By fully participating in Lent Madness, the season becomes more than just a time for self-reflection and penitence/discipline. We get to learn new things about fascinating people of God -- and then debate, advocate and further explore those things with . . . more fascinating people of God - FUN! DURING LENT! Can't wait!
Ya, we agree on that. I was pointing out the humor in it. Happy Lent Tammie!
First year to join in the mayhem!
Love the new music! It's less dirge-like, and yes, quicker cut to the SEC
I do like the updated intro theme music and header. I shows the SEC and be both progressive and restrained at the same time. Well done, SEC.
Love the new opening and music and quicker start to your videos. All good! Progressive yet traditional!
Stately yet timely (not too long)--the perfect Anglican Via Media!
I like the new music, but can't quite identify it yet. I'll look through the Lent section of both hymnals--1940 & 1982--and see if anything stands out. The rendition of "Forty Days and Forty Nights" will, however, be missed.
How do I get the Lent Madness Bios of the Saintly Scorecard for someone who is blind? Do you have something in a Word document I can purchase? He has a computer for blind people and his computer can read the email to him. He is our Associate Priest at my church, The Church of the Good Shepherd in Federal Way, WA. He will also be our church's Saintly Predictor as to which saint he thinks will win each smackdown making his announcements on Sunday mornings. But he does need the bios ahead of time so he can have his computer read them to him. Thanks for your help.
I'll like you on Facebook if you bring back the Mary Mags mug.
